Hi, I'm Guide Ed.

Hi, I'm Guide Ed.

My career didn't start with a grand plan. It started behind the counter at Maccas at age 16. I worked my way up from crew to crew trainer, then shift supervisor, and eventually people performance manager - and somewhere along the way I realised I loved the people side of work more than anything else.

While I was studying, I worked as a careers ambassador, helping other students figure out their next steps. My own path took a few turns too: I started out in pre-medicine before pivoting to health services management, went through a graduate program, and have since spent six years in the public sector. I've worked across medical workforce policy, medical recruitment strategy, and senior health workforce policy, and these days I work in workforce mobility - basically, helping people move into the right roles.

  • Tony N — Project Manager

Before we worked together, I didn’t really know how to position my experience in a way that clearly matched job descriptions. My resume and cover letters were too broad and generic, and I wasn’t properly addressing the key requirements. Eddie helped me restructure everything so it was targeted, achievement-focused, and directly aligned to what employers were asking for. The mock interviews were especially valuable because he pushed me to tighten my answers, use clear examples, and speak with more structure and confidence. After our sessions, I felt much clearer about my strengths and how to present them. I started getting more interview opportunities and ultimately secured a role in my field. I’d highly recommend his guidance to university graduates and early-career professionals who have the qualifications but need help translating that into strong applications and confident interviews.

  • Alina D — Allied Health Assistant

I am currently studying the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and had been looking for an Allied Heath Assistant role at a public hospital. I had little confidence and experience in doing job interviews, and needed help making my resume stand-out. I told Eddie what I was struggling with, so he reviewed my resume and set-up a mock interview with me. He researched into the role I wanted and asked me relevant questions to the job that ended up being similar to what was actually asked. His work was professional and he gave immediate feedback on my areas of improvement and helpful resources. I ended up getting the job as an AHA and was told that I was a clear stand out candidate. I went from stumbling over my words and going blank when asked questions, to confidently answering any question that was thrown at me, or at least, given the tips to handle difficult questions with grace and confidence. I highly recommend Eddie’s guidance to anyone who needs that confidence and skill boost to tackle any part of their job hunting process. I couldn’t have done it without him.

  • Tammy T — Master of Professional Psychology student

Prior to working with Eddie, I felt overwhelmed trying to present my experiences competitively for postgraduate psychology programs and wasn’t confident that my applications fully reflected my strengths or passion for pursuing higher education. Through working with Eddie, I was able to refine my resume and learn how to structure interview responses clearly using the STAR method, which made a significant difference in how I communicated my experiences. After completing a mock interview and receiving invaluable feedback, I felt more confident and well-prepared for my postgraduate interviews. I’m excited to share that I was successfully accepted into the Master of Professional Psychology at Western Sydney University, which I truly believe was supported by his guidance. I would highly recommend this service to psychology students or graduates seeking confidence and a strategic approach to securing both postgraduate and professional opportunities!
